Two-phase competition for realisation for a new building for National Museums at Berlin depots and workshops in Berlin-Friedrichshagen by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation deputised by the Federal Agency for Building and Regional Planning, Department IV S 3 - project development · planning · competitions · allocation tasks.

It is the aim to unite on nearly 50.000 squaremeter depots, workshops and adminstrative offices for 20 collections and four institutes of the National Museums at Berlin at one place.

In the first phase of the competition an urban planning should be designed as basis for an to be designed development plan. Furthermore, this design should show a concept for a longterm development of this site as central headquarters for depots and workshops for the National Museums at Berlin.

The complex should be built within two phases until 2020. The site is roughly 17km distant to Museum Island in the district Freidrichshagen at the Fürstenwalder Damm 388 / Müggelseedamm 109/111.
